Introduction
Belongside Families is actively committed to continually improve our website’s accessibility and ensure compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines ( WCAG ) developed by W3C at an AA level.
Website Accessibility
To enhance the accessibility of the website, we’ve implemented the following features:
- Use of Semantic HTML and ARIA attributes for better experience with assistive technologies.
- Sufficient colour contrast for text readability.
- A skip link that provides a mechanism to jump past the list of navigation items to the main content of the page.
While using the website, you should be able to:
- Change contrast levels and colours via specialised browsing modes or assistive plugin.
- Zoom in up to 400% without the text overlapping.
- Navigate most of the website using just a keyboard or assistive software. This includes links, headings and buttons.
Known Issues & Ongoing Improvements
Despite our best efforts, we know some parts of this website are not yet accessible. We are actively working on the following:
- Third-party integrations that may not be fully accessible yet.
- Ensuring all alternative text of images are descriptive to help users who use assistive technology.
Feedback
We always welcome suggestions and ideas to make our website accessible to all users.
