Liam Brennan

Director

Liam is an experienced corporate affairs and public policy professional with over 15 years experience across government and corporate sectors. He has held senior roles at Qantas Group and Woolworths Group, leading government relations and public policy initiatives during periods of significant business disruption and transformation. Prior to working in corporate roles, Liam spent a decade in senior political roles, including as Chief of Staff to the Australian Attorney-General and Leader of the Government in the Senate. With extensive experience in policy development, stakeholder engagement and strategic communications, Liam brings a comprehensive understanding of government and the parliament.

Passionate about mental health, suicide prevention and community wellbeing, Liam volunteers as a Crisis Supporter and Student Mentor with Lifeline. He works at the NSW Mental Health Commission and is also currently completing postgraduate studies in psychology at Monash University.

Liam is excited to be able to contribute to Belongside Families’s mission by supporting the team in delivering best practice, evidence-based approaches that empower families of children with a disability.
