Nadine Kelly

Peer Facilitator

Nadine began her career in administration but took a turn when her son Ryan started school. Unable to find before- and after-school care for Ryan, who has cerebral palsy, Nadine began studying a Cert III in Child Care and decided to open her own family daycare-style before- and after-school care service.

Soon Nadine found herself deep diving into the corners of the disability world that spoke to her, specifically inclusion, and wanting to support parents and carers in their role. Nadine is currently in her third year of a degree in Occupational Therapy at the University of Western Sydney.

As an Envisage Peer Facilitator with Belongside Families, Nadine brings warmth and connection to her work. She hopes that she can help other carers to discover their own strengths and feel confident that they are making the best decisions for their young person and family as a whole.

Outside of work, Nadine believes an ocean swim can fix almost anything – even just for a moment.
