Alone. Unsure. Overwhelmed.

This is how most families’ experience raising a child with disability begins. Families sometimes must wait months and often years before they are connected to peer support.

In a recent survey, the majority of families went without support for over two years, and shockingly, it took up to 6 years before some families were connected to a peer support service. At Belongside, we believe no family should begin their journey alone.

Help us reach families navigating a disability diagnosis for their child.

We know how life-changing our peer support can be, especially in the early days. Your donation could help us to support families to navigate complex systems and services, connect them with a community of support, and grow their skills, knowledge and confidence to support their children and families to thrive.

I don’t want to even imagine where I would be without Belongside Families. Those first two years I had no one. That's a long time, especially at the beginning when you feel so overwhelmed and alone.
